Your new role
Deal Origination and Evaluation:- Identify and evaluate potential investments, emphasizing Series A, late-stage, and growth-stage B2B SaaS companies.
- Leverage personal and developed networks to actively generate deal flow.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, analysing financials, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
Strategic Portfolio Oversight with Business Development Support: - Actively engage with portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance for optimal performance and sustained growth.
- Facilitate business development initiatives, leveraging industry networks and relationships to open new opportunities for portfolio companies.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators and financial metrics to ensure portfolio companies meet predefined milestones.
Stakeholder Relationship Management:- Cultivate and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, investors and co-investors, and industry experts to stay well-informed about market trends and investment opportunities.
Market Research and Analysis: - Stay informed about industry trends and market dynamics within the B2B SaaS sector.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging technologies and potential investment themes.
Risk Mitigation and Management: - Evaluate and mitigate potential risks associated with investments, considering both internal and external factors.
Comprehensive Reporting and Communication: - Provide regular, detailed updates and reports to senior management on portfolio performance, fundraising progress, business development initiatives, and market trends.
- Communicate investment theses, risks, and opportunities effectively to internal stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business or a related field;
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in M&A / Transaction Services / Deal Advisor teams, at a BIG4
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
