To lead, develop, and optimise all operations within the Moulding functions. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production across the mould shop, delivering strong technical leadership, continuous improvement, and excellent customer service while supporting business growth and operational excellence.

Description

Daily operational management of moulding;

Workforce planning, training, performance reviews, and team development;

Tooling maintenance, repair, and supplier relationship management;

Reducing scrap, waste, downtime, and non-conformances;

Implementing lean initiatives (5S, workflow optimisation, Kanban);

Supporting NPD activities, DFM reviews, and industrialisation of new tools with the Engineering team;

Health & Safety compliance and leading safety improvement initiatives;

Reporting KPIs, efficiency, and performance metrics to the wider leadership team Achieving production, quality, delivery, safety, and cost targets;

Performance of the Moulding Production team and Toolroom functions;

Ensuring compliance with ISO, H&S, environmental and regulatory standards;

Availability, reliability, and maintenance of all moulding equipment and tooling.

Profile

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Polymer, Manufacturing or related field).

• Proven experience in moulding operations management within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop, motivate, and performance-manage teams.

• Solid technical knowledge of moulding processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean manufacturing initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kanban, continuous improvement).

• Ability to analyse KPIs, drive performance improvements, and consistently achieve production, quality, cost, delivery, and safety targets.

• Experience supporting NPD activities, DFM reviews, and the industrialisation of new products.

• Good understanding of ISO standards, Health & Safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills, with a proactive, hands-on, and results-driven mindset.

• Fluent in English
