Key Responsibilities
This professional will support on-site station/gateway operations by analyzing and developing improvement initiatives. Acting as a technical expert in complex and specialized matters, they will assist management in analyzing, interpreting, and applying complex information, contributing to divisional and corporate objectives. They will also support or lead projects, applying expertise in their field.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and monitor short- and long-term plans for expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles, and products in operations.
- Assist in technical training of staff through workshops, seminars, and workplace training sessions in areas such as operations, contingency planning, productivity, cost efficiency, and staff scheduling.
- Monitor productivity, service, and cost performance across operational areas, supporting staff in implementing necessary changes.
- Maintain communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical expertise on facility requests, including lease terminations, new locations, five-year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justification.
- Support studies aimed at implementing innovative and robust engineering concepts in operations to benefit the group and its customers.
- Prepare management information systems to assist in controlling and developing operational objectives.
- Participate in special projects supporting the team.
- Ensure operational plans comply with safety and legal standards.
What You Bring
- A degree or professional qualification in Industrial Engineering or a quantitative discipline.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Desirable additional knowledge Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or logistics.
- At least two years of experience working as an operations engineer in manufacturing or service industries, in roles such as Quality Engineer, Operations Engineer, Process Engineer, or Continuous Improvement Engineer.
- Experience implementing and managing KPIs such as productivity and efficiency.
- Experience in developing procedures and operational manuals, process mapping and analysis, and preparing and presenting reports.
- Cost-benefit analysis experience.
- Training operational and administrative staff.
- Experience in time and motion studies, line balancing, or route calculations.
- Leading root cause analysis initiatives using tools such as Pareto, Ishikawa, Trend Analysis, etc.
- Advanced Excel skills formulas, pivot tables, macros.
