Descrição da Função

We are looking for a Director for our group of boutique hotels in Porto Santo and Funchal, to take on the following responsibilities.



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

• Operational Management: Oversee and coordinate all hotel departments, establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, security, and hospitality. Maintain a visible presence at the hotel, ensuring a prompt response to guest requests or emergencies. Supervise the planning, performance, and productivity of teams.

• Guest Experience and Satisfaction: Ensure that guests receive exceptional and personalized service from arrival to departure. Address and resolve guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally. Regularly interact with guests to gather feedback and identify opportunities for service improvement. Monitor online reviews and reputation management platforms to maintain a positive public image. Ensure that the hotel’s environment and atmosphere align with guest expectations and brand standards.

• Leadership and Team Development: Lead, guide, and motivate the hotel team to achieve the highest standards of service and performance. Conduct regular training sessions and performance reviews to ensure team members are well-prepared to meet guest expectations. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages team engagement and retention. Recruit, hire, and integrate new employees according to the hotel’s service philosophy. Manage team schedules to ensure proper coverage across all departments. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team performance.

• Financial Management: Prepare and manage the hotel’s annual budget, ensuring revenue goals are met while controlling expenses. Monitor financial performance, including revenue reports, profit margins, and cost analysis. Work with department heads to develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, including room occupancy, food and beverage sales, and event bookings. Monitor occupancy rates, room rates, and revenue streams, making adjustments to maximize profitability.

• Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws, health and safety regulations, and brand standards. Implement and oversee emergency procedures, ensuring staff readiness. Maintain and enforce safety protocols to ensure the safety of guests and employees. Ensure that the hotel’s facilities, rooms, and public areas are always clean, well-maintained, and comply with safety standards.

• Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies to promote the hotel, increase occupancy, and maximize room rates. Build relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies to increase visibility and bookings. Oversee the implementation of seasonal offers, promotions, and special events to attract guests. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and guest preferences to stay ahead in a competitive market.
