Your new Role
The Head of Data and Business Analytics plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s Data direction and ensuring the business maximizes the value of its Data assets. This role aligns Data and analytics strategy with business priorities, ensuring that Data-driven insights support operational performance, commercial decision-making, and long-term value creation.
This person reports to the Group Financial Controller and leads a team of four, working closely with Global Finance, IT, and senior business stakeholders, acting as the strategic bridge between technical Data capabilities and business needs. The role is central to embedding a “one version of the truth” approach, strengthening governance, and driving a culture of Data-driven decision-making across the organization.
The Head of Data and Business Analytics will:
- Define and drive the enterprise Data and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and digital transformation priorities;
- Maintain and execute a clear Data roadmap reflecting business needs, regulatory requirements, and value opportunities;
- Act as the primary link between executive leadership and the Data organization, translating business needs into scalable Data solutions;
- Ensure analytics initiatives deliver measurable business value while avoiding duplication across teams;
- Oversee Data governance, architecture, and platform integrity, ensuring high Data quality, consistency, and reliability;
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (including GDPR and ethical Data usage standards);
- Oversee performance of Data platforms, tools, and workflows, tracking KPIs and driving continuous improvement;
- Manage relationships with external Data service providers, ensuring service quality and alignment with business priorities;
- Lead, develop, and mentor the Data team, fostering a strong business-oriented and collaborative culture;
- Champion Data literacy and promote adoption of Data-driven decision-making across the organization;
- Act as the final authority on key Data definitions, KPIs, and quality standards across the business;
- Drive continuous improvement in Data processes, governance frameworks, and operational efficiency.
A typical day will include defining and aligning Data strategy with stakeholders, managing Data governance and platform performance, engaging with senior leadership, overseeing external partners, driving analytics initiatives, and ensuring the organization leverages Data effectively for decision-making and value creation.
Please consider that this role requires availability for occasional travel to other company sites (it will be expected to travel once every quarter).
What you will need to succeed
As a Head of Data and Business Analytics, you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field;
- + 8 years of experience Leading cross-functional teams and Delivering Results in a Matrixed or Centralized Environment;
- Proven experience in Data Leadership and Data Governance within a complex Global Organization;
- Experience driving Data strategy, governance frameworks, and value-focused analytics initiatives;
- Experience managing Third-Party service providers and outsourced Data environments;
- Experience partnering with senior business leaders to unlock value from Data and support strategic decision-making;
- Solid knowledge Cloud-based platforms (Azure) and modern Data Architectures;
- Solid knowledge of Data ecosystems (including Data lakes, Data platforms, and tools such as Databricks);
- Strong knowledge of Data governance, Master Data management, and Data quality frameworks;
- Advanced skills in BI tools (Power BI) and Data visualization for business insights;
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (such as GDPR, PII, and Data ethics);
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills – Fluency in English.
