Details - Hospitality, Sports, Leisure is the platform responsible for managing the Hospitality, Sports, and Leisure areas of Arrow Global in Portugal. It oversees the management of major hotel units located in Vilamoura, Carvoeiro, Lagos, Albufeira, Aroeira, and Madeira, as well as golf courses and equestrian centers.
The Golf Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing key client relationships, coordinating with internal teams, and leveraging market data to drive growth and achieve sales goals in the golf segment. The Golf Sales Manager will report directly to the Golf Director and work closely with Details, the management company, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead B2B sales efforts for golf, including tour operators, golf agencies, corporate groups, and golf societies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and clients.
- Identify new opportunities for growth and package development (e.g. stay & play, tournaments, training camps).
- Represent the property at international trade shows, sales calls, and fam trips.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and performance KPIs to support commercial planning.
- Ensure accurate CRM usage and timely reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Participate and monitor in the development and execution of strategic plans aligned with Details and client objectives for long-term success, namely marketing agreements and other sales actions.
- Work closely with internal teams to coordinate efforts and deliver tailored solutions to general and key clients.
- Address and help resolve client concerns promptly, ensuring a positive client experience, namely customers feed-backs, reviews and guest satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports on key account metrics, achievements, and challenges to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in golf sales or hospitality sales with strong knowledge of the golf industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Passion for golf and understanding of golfer expectations and market dynamics.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Willingness to travel and represent the brand internationally.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and highly organised.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
