The GL Accountant is responsible for managing record-to-report processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting within the organization. The role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting closing activities, and providing reliable data for decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

• Closing Activities: Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial data is accurate, complete, and delivered within deadlines;
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), ensuring clarity and reliability of reported figures;
• Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy and proper resolution of outstanding items:
• Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements;
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts, including preparation and posting of journal entries;
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies, minimizing risk and supporting governance standards;
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to gather financial data, provide insights, and support business decision-making;

Profile

What you bring:

• Professional Experience: Proven experience in Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, ideally within the industrial or manufacturing sector;
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (IFRS, GAAP), with solid experience in financial reporting and reconciliations;
• Systems & Tools: Proficiency in accounting systems and strong Excel skills, enabling efficient analysis and reporting;
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues:
• Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory;
