CostaTerra Golf & Ocean Club is seeking for a dynamic General Maintenance - Pool Technician to join our team in Melides!

The Pool Technician is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of swimming pools and their associated equipment. He must ensure the pool is safe, clean, and functioning properly by performing tasks like water testing, chemical balancing, cleaning, and making necessary repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and Repair:

- Cleaning and Maintaining Pool Equipment: They clean and maintain pumps, filters, heaters, and other pool equipment.

- Troubleshooting and Repairing: They troubleshoot and repair or replace faulty equipment, including pumps, motors, and filters.

- Structural Repairs: They may also handle minor repairs to the pool structure, such as fixing cracks or leaks.

Water Quality Management:

- Water Testing: They test the water for chemical balance, pH, and chlorine levels.

- Chemical Balancing: They adjust chemicals, such as chlorine, to maintain proper water balance and safety.

- Chemical Handling: They handle and store chemicals safely, following proper procedures.

General Pool Maintenance:

- Cleaning: They clean the pool surface, deck area, and surrounding areas, removing debris and algae.

- Equipment Installation: They may install new equipment, such as filters, pumps, and heaters.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Record Keeping: They may maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and chemical usage.

- Customer Service: They may interact with clients to address their concerns and provide advice on pool maintenance.

- Safety: They ensure the pool environment is safe and compliant with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak English sufficiently to successfully perform required duties, preferred.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with pool equipment and pool maintenance.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Proficiency in general maintenance and use safely hand tools.
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems.
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity.
