Full Stack Software Engineer (Remote - React / Node.js / AWS)

Location: Fully Remote

Type: Full-Time

We're building a compassionate, modern platform that helps people honor the lives of those they've lost. Our product allows families and friends to create digital memorials, share memories, raise funds for charities, and support one another during times of grief. Grounded in empathy and user experience, we're rethinking how digital tools can provide solace and connection during life's most sensitive moments.

We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who's excited to own projects end-to-end-from customer conversations to final deployment. You'll be a key contributor in shaping our product, helping us scale thoughtfully, and building out new features that directly impact users going through one of life's most important transitions.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build full stack features using React, Node.js, NestJS, and Next.js
• Implement scalable, well-tested backend services and APIs
• Build and maintain AWS-based infrastructure (Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.)
• Work on key product initiatives like e-commerce integration, video functionality, and donation features
• Collaborate directly with end users, including funeral directors and families, to understand their needs and deliver empathetic, elegant solutions
• Ship production code with a high degree of autonomy and accountability

What We're Looking For:

• 4+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, ideally in early-stage or fast-paced environments
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience across frontend and backend
• Deep knowledge of React, Node.js, NestJS, Next.js
• Solid understanding of AWS services and deploying serverless or containerized applications
• Experience integrating with third-party services (e.g., video APIs, payment platforms)
• Excellent communication skills-you're comfortable talking with users and translating feedback into code
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to own projects from ideation to delivery

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Stripe, Shopify)
• Background working with video services (e.g., Mux, Twilio Video)
• Familiarity with accessibility, localization, or designing for sensitive user experiences

EUR 50,000-70,000.
