Full Stack Developer (React + Ruby/Rails)

€48,000 - €50,000 + Yearly Bonus + Equity

We have partnered up with a Global FinTech organisation working on some cutting-edge projects within the finance space! On the lookout for a Full Stack Engineer to join the engineering team in Portugal and scale their well-received product further. Looking for a versatile engineer happy to contribute on the Frontend and Backend to hit deliverables across the engineering teams.

Role and responsibilities:

• Backend feature development in Ruby (3.6.6) and Rails (6.x)
• Frontend development in React and Redux
• Unit and integration test development using RSpec, Cucumber, and Capybara
• Building out prototypes and POCs
• Active participation in daily stand-up meetings
• Active participation in Peer Code Reviews as part of our standard SDLC and Change Management Process

Job requirements:

• Degree in Software Engineering
• 5+ years of Full Stack, web-based application development
• 5+ years of development experience with React and Ruby on Rails. Python/Elixir would be a good substitute if less expertise on Ruby
• 5+ years of HTML / CSS development
• Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices • Passion for actively learning new technologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluency in English and Portuguese required - written and verbal
