Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Porto for a Financial Assistant. The role is responsible for the execution of daily financial operations and administrative tasks, reporting directly to the CFO. The primary focus is to ensure the smooth running of the finance department through accurate payment processing, invoice management, and providing critical support during the implementation of the company's ERP system. 1-2 remote days per week.
Responsibilities
- Payments & Payroll: Execute weekly payment runs to suppliers and manage the monthly processing of salaries.
- Invoice Management: Register, classify, and archive supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- ERP Implementation: Support the CFO in the migration of data, process mapping, and setup of the new ERP system.
- Treasury: Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow movements.
- Administrative Support: Manage office-related documentation and act as a point of contact for external accounting and service providers.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure all financial records are up-to-date and accurately reflected in the company's systems.
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years experience.
- Proven experience in financial administration, accounts payable, or general accounting roles.
- Proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
- Strong proficiency in Accounting and Finance principles.
- Experience with ERP systems (participation in system migrations is a plus).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
