Adecco is recruiting a Finance Analyst for a prestigious company with an insurance business unit, with offices located in Maia.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data across systems and processes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor data quality controls, including validation rules, reconciliations, and exception reports.
- Collaborate with the Internal Control team to design, test, and document datarelated controls in line with audit and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing data extracts, documentation, and participating in walkthroughs.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and reports to support Finance and management information needs.
- Identify data quality issues, perform rootcause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation covering data definitions, data flows, ownership responsibilities, and governance processes.
- Work closely with Finance, Actuarial, IT, and Operations to strengthen data flows and integrity.
- Support automation and process efficiency initiatives using Python and R.
- Manage tasks independently, ensuring timely delivery while handling multiple priorities.
- Use advanced Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, for analysis, reporting, and data transformation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data stewardship, data analysis, or data governance.
- Strong programming skills in Python and R (plus)
- Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and visualization.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, automation).
- Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and data governance principles.
- Experience with data controls, reconciliations, and data quality assurance.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is considered an asset.
- Strong autonomy, timemanagement, and prioritization capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong analytical mindset.
