MAN Truck & Bus, a leading European commercial vehicle manufacturer and part of the TRATON Group, is launching a new Global Business Services (GBS) organization structured around three core pillars: Operations, Global Process Ownership, and Strategy & Performance Management.
Your Role
As ESG Regulatory Manager, you will act as the central point of contact in the initial stage of new sustainability-related legislation and work together with departments of all functions. You will have the opportunity to shape our regulatory landscape in a dynamic industry within a collaborative work environment with international exposure. You will manage the inflow of sustainability regulation across MAN and recommend clear ownership within the organization for each topic, bridging legal requirements and business execution.
Your responsibilities
- Proactively identify and manage the inflow of EU and national sustainability regulations, maintaining a live overview.
- Assess business impact and translate legal texts into operational implications for MAN.
- Develop practical, actionable implementation recommendations and decision papers for management.
- Coordinate sustainability compliance projects and act as PMO in relevant initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with other TRATON brands and leverage group best practices.
- Maintain and manage the company's portfolio of legal sustainability requirements and status.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and remove roadblocks, even in the face of resistance.
- Engage with accountable stakeholders to define responsibilities, implementation plans and timelines.
- Recommend clear ownership for each regulatory topic across the organization.
Your profile
Education & Experience:
- University degree in Sustainability Management, Business Administration, Economics, or similar field.
- 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, ideally in a corporate or industrial setting; automotive industry experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with EU and national sustainability frameworks (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy) or strong willingness to deepen knowledge.
- Experience in multinational environments and ideally in GBS / Shared Services Centers.
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of EU sustainability policies and frameworks applicable to MAN (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy, emerging due-diligence rules), or proven ability to build it quickly.
- Organizational awareness to navigate complex structures and identify accountable owners across functions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of project management and digital tools (e.g., SharePoint, compliance databases).
- Excellent communication, persuasion and collaboration skills in international settings.
- Assertive, self-confident and resilient; comfortable engaging senior leaders and challenging decisions when needed.
- Ability to work independently, in a structured and results-oriented manner.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to high-quality service.
- Fluent in English (required); German is a plus.
