Embedded Software Engineer - Industrial IoT Systems - Porto, Portugal (Hybrid)

We are looking,for one of our clientes, for an Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions for automated manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will work with cutting-edge technologies to build systems that collect and process data from industrial machines, helping improve efficiency and productivity.

Core Skills:

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems
• Strong experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.)
• Familiarity with IoT communication protocols (MQTT, Modbus, OPC-UA, etc.)
• Experience with sensor integration (analog, digital, and wireless sensors)
• Solid understanding of data acquisition and real-time data processing
• Experience with embedded system debugging and performance optimization

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g., CAN, Profibus)
• Experience with cloud-based platforms for IIoT (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT)
• Familiarity with edge computing and local processing of sensor data
• Understanding of cybersecurity in IIoT environments
• Experience with machine learning algorithms for predictive maintenance
• Familiarity with Version Control Systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
