Your New Role
As an EDI Coordinator, you will act as the key point of contact between customers, suppliers, internal teams, and external service providers to ensure efficient EDI operations and successful partner onboarding activities.
This position is ideally suited to someone with solid EDI knowledge who enjoys coordinating projects, managing stakeholder relationships, and facilitating communication between business and technical teams. Whilst the role requires a strong understanding of EDI concepts and integrations, it is not a software development position.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting onboarding initiatives, driving issue resolution, and helping deliver effective EDI solutions across an international business environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily EDI-related operational activities involving customers, suppliers, internal stakeholders, and external service providers.
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new business partners and EDI connections.
- Assess operational and technical requirements, identifying dependencies, risks, and missing information.
- Monitor implementation progress and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.
- Act as the primary liaison with external EDI partners and service providers.
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements for third-party vendors.
- Gather, analyse, and structure customer requirements to support successful implementations.
- Facilitate communication between multiple stakeholders and maintain visibility of project status and deliverables.
- Support management with reporting, coordination activities, and progress tracking.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within EDI processes and onboarding activities.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Approximately 3-5 years of professional experience in EDI-related roles.
- Strong understanding of EDI processes, integrations, and business transaction flows.
- Knowledge of EDI message structures and their practical business applications.
- Experience coordinating EDI onboarding, support, operational, or implementation activities.
- Proven ability to work with external vendors, service providers, or outsourcing partners.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to gather, challenge, and refine business requirements.
- Comfortable facilitating discussions between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience operating within international and multicultural business environments.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently following an initial onboarding period.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
