Job Summary: The E-Commerce Manager – Distribution Management is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the hotel’s online distribution strategy to maximize revenue, profitability, and brand visibility. This role oversees all third-party and direct online channels, ensures rate and inventory integrity, and drives growth in direct bookings while controlling distribution costs.
The role works closely with Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, IT, and Operations, and manages relationships with key distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities:
· Define and execute the online distribution strategy across OTAs, GDS, wholesalers, meta search, and direct channels;
· Optimize channel mix to maximize revenue while controlling cost of acquisition;
· Ensure accurate and timely distribution of rates, inventory, and restrictions across all platforms;
· Manage seasonal strategies, promotions, packages, and tactical offers;
· Enforce rate integrity, parity, and distribution policies across all channels;
· Monitor rate shopping tools to identify and resolve rate leakage, undercutting, or unauthorized distribution;
· Support contract implementation and compliance with OTAs, wholesalers, and corporate partners;
· Drive growth in direct online bookings through the brand website and booking engine;
· Work with Marketing on digital campaigns, SEO/SEM, promotions, and conversion optimization;
· Oversee booking engine performance, user journey, and content accuracy;
· Analyse channel performance using key KPIs including: Revenue, ADR, RevPAR, Conversation rate, Cost of acquisition;
· Prepare forecasts, performance reviews, and strategic recommendations for senior management;
· Track ROI of distribution and e-commerce initiatives;
· Oversee and optimize hotel technology platforms: PMS; CRS; Channel Manager; Booking Engine; Rate shopping and analytics tools;
· Lead system audits, integrations, and upgrades in coordination with IT and vendors;
· Manage relationships with key OTAs, channel partners, and technology providers;
· Negotiate commercial terms, marketing opportunities, and visibility programs with partners;
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams;
· Provide guidance and training to junior e-commerce or distribution team members.
Requirements:
· 5+ years of experience in hotel e-commerce, distribution, or revenue management;
· Strong understanding of the hospitality distribution ecosystem and OTA dynamics;
· Proven experience managing online distribution strategy for hotels or resorts;
· Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills;
· Experience with major hotel systems and distribution tools;
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
· Multi-property or hotel group experience;
· Experience with meta search and digital performance marketing;
· Revenue management background or certification;
· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
