Job Summary: The Junior E-Commerce Executive – Distribution Management supports the day-to-day management of online distribution channels for the hotel or hotel group. The role focuses on ensuring accurate rates, inventory, and content across all online platforms, supporting direct booking growth, and assisting the Revenue and E-Commerce teams in achieving commercial objectives.
This position is ideal for someone looking to build a career in hotel e-commerce, revenue management, or digital distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing online distribution channels such as OTAs, brand website, wholesalers, and booking platforms;
- Ensure rates, availability, and restrictions are correctly loaded and updated across systems;
- Support daily rate and inventory checks to ensure accuracy and parity across channels;
- Assist in maintaining hotel website content related to rooms, offers, and promotions;
- Support the loading and tracking of promotions, packages, and special offers;
- Monitor booking engine performance and report any issues to senior team members;
- Support monitoring of rate parity using rate shopping tools;
- Identify and report any discrepancies, undercutting, or unauthorized rates;
- Assist in maintaining compliance with contracted rates and distribution agreements;
- Prepare basic daily, weekly, and monthly reports on:
- Channel performance
- Revenue and bookings
- ADR and occupancy trends
- Assist in analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement;
- Work closely with Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, Reservations, and Operations teams;
- Assist in communicating rate and inventory changes to internal stakeholders;
- Support coordination with OTA account managers and system providers when required.
Systems & Tools:
- Work with hotel systems including:
- PMS (Property Management System)
- Channel Manager
- Booking Engine
- Rate Shopping and analytics tools
- Assist with system audits and basic troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- 0–2 years of experience in hospitality, e-commerce, reservations, or revenue support;
- Basic understanding of hotel distribution channels and online booking platforms;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Good numerical and analytical ability;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred;
- Eager to learn and develop in a commercial role;
- Proactive and reliable;
- Comfortable working with systems and data;
- Able to follow processes and meet deadlines;
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
