Details - Hospitality, Sports, Leisure is the platform responsible for managing the Hospitality, Sports, and Leisure areas of Arrow Global in Portugal. It oversees the management of major hotel units located in Vilamoura, Carvoeiro, Lagos, Albufeira, Aroeira, and Madeira, as well as golf courses and equestrian centers.


The Director of Golf is responsible for overseeing all aspects of golf operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional golf experiences to members and guests. This role involves managing golf course activities, directing golf staff, organizing tournaments and events, handling pro shop operations, and developing strategic plans to enhance the overall golf program.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, schedule tee times, maintain course conditions, and ensure compliance with rules and safety standards.
  • Supervise maintenance teams, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Hire, train, and supervise golf professionals and staff, develop schedules, and maintain high customer service.
  • Foster a positive team environment focused on service excellence and efficiency.
  • Plan and execute golf tournaments and events, working with coordinators for a seamless experience.
  • Manage pro shop operations, including inventory, product ordering, and retail activities.
  • Maintain strong guest relationships, promptly resolve complaints, and provide exceptional service.
  • Develop and manage the golf department budget, monitor financial performance, and set financial goals with club management.
  • Collaborate on marketing campaigns, represent the golf course at events, and engage in networking opportunities.
  • Implement industry trends and new technologies, develop long-term goals for the golf department with the leadership team.
