A world-leading multinational in the healthcare sector, committed to innovation, clinical excellence, and improving the lives of millions of patients worldwide, is recruiting a Direct Tax Specialist (m/f/d) to join its team in Lisbon.

Your new role 
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant direct tax reporting for several legal entities, supporting both local operations and the Group Tax function. Your main responsibilities include:
  • Execute accurate and timely reporting and payments for all direct tax returns for the applicable legal entities.
  • Validate and submit all direct tax reporting filings and requirements, ensuring proper maintenance of direct tax records and information.
  • Prepare the internal direct tax report pack for the Group headquarters in Sweden.
  • Handle tax payments, refunds and perform reconciliations of direct tax accounts.
  • Provide information and support to the direct tax business partner and other stakeholders, including participation in tax audits and relevant projects.
  • Act as the first point of contact for direct tax-related questions received through tickets, internal teams, or Tax Authorities.
  • Deliver relevant tax training to AP and Accounting teams, in collaboration with the Direct Tax Reporting Manager and the Direct Tax Business Partner.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and guidelines, proposing improvements when necessary.
  • Participate in projects related to implementing direct tax solutions in SAP and other relevant tools, as well as projects requiring input from the Direct Tax Reporting team.

What you'll need to succeed 
  • University degree in Tax, Economics, Business or similar, combined with relevant practice.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in direct tax, including reporting and compliance.
  • Strong analytical mindset, structured approach to work, and openness to change.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and familiarity with financial reporting systems.
  • Strong command of English; Spanish or Italian is an advantage.
  • Availability to travel occasionally, when required.
