Role: Data Centre Engineer

Salary: €35,000 + Overtime + Benefits

We're working with a growing business delivering critical infrastructure services across major data centre environments, and they're looking for a hands-on Data Centre Engineer to join the team on-site in Sines.

This role is focused on the physical layer of the data centre environment - rack and stack, structured cabling, hardware installations, testing, fault finding, and day-to-day infrastructure support across live critical facilities.

Perfect for someone who enjoys being on the tools, solving real problems, and working in high-availability environments where quality and uptime matter.

What you'll be doing:

• Rack and stack of servers, switches, routers, PDUs, and associated hardware
• Installing, dressing, labelling, and testing copper and fibre structured cabbling systems
• Patching and tracing CAT6, CAT6A, OM3, OM4, and single-mode fibre connections
• Performing basic hardware swaps, break-fix tasks, and physical troubleshooting
• Supporting device installations, decommissions, relocations, and migrations
• Carrying out testing using Fluke testers, OTDR, light source, and power meter equipment
• Supporting basic network connectivity checks and assisting with first-line fault diagnosis
• Maintaining accurate documentation, patching schedules, and asset records
• Working closely with project managers, field engineers, and client site teams
• Ensuring all works are completed safely within live operational data centre environments

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience working within data centres, critical environments, or structured cabling projects
• Strong hands-on experience with rack and stack, patching, and physical infrastructure installs
• Good understanding of fibre and copper cabling standards and testing procedures
• Comfortable working around network hardware and basic configuration checks
• Experience with server installs, switch/router patching, and hardware troubleshooting
• Familiar with best practices around cable management, containment, and documentation
• Strong work ethic with a practical, problem-solving mindset
• Able to work full-time on-site in Sines
• English communication skills required, Portuguese would be beneficial
