Currently we are looking for a Data Engineer.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design and implement data architectures and pipelines that support global trade finance and logistics operations. This role requires deep technical expertise in open source data technologies such as Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka, Python and Apache Superset, combined with an understanding of data challenges in international trade, finance and supply chain environments.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally in finance, commerce or logistics.
• Solid and practical experience with:
• Apache Spark (batch processing)
• Apache Flink (streaming)
• Apache Kafka (event streaming and data integration)
• Python (ETL scripts, data processing)
• SQL (for modeling and querying structured data)
• Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards using Apache Superset or similar BI tools
• Proficiency in designing relational and analytical data models for financial and operational reporting.
• Familiarity with trade finance platforms, ERPs or logistics control systems.
• Experience with cloud-based data infrastructures (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Fluent in English (international client, all communication is in English)
• Availability for hybrid work 2x per week at the client's office in Porto
