The International Mobility Recruitment Department is dedicated to enhancing the mobility of IT professionals throughout Europe, facilitating the placement of talents in the various markets where it operates.

Position: DATA ENGINEER - SPARK & CLOUDERA

Location: Lisbon

Hybrid: 2 times a week at the client's office

Candidates must possess a valid work permit for Portugal

Mandatory Languages Required: and English (minimum C1) French (is a plus)

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Lisbon. The ideal candidate is passionate about data architecture and engineering, with hands-on expertise in Spark, Cloudera, and large-scale data environments. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence twice a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize data processing pipelines using Spark/PySpark
• Manage and maintain data infrastructure on the Cloudera platform
• Write efficient SQL queries for data transformation and analysis
• Work with Hive/Impala to access and manipulate large datasets
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to deliver reliable and high-quality data solutions

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Spark (preferably PySpark)
• Solid knowledge of Cloudera ecosystem and tools
• Proficiency in SQL, Hive, and/or Impala
• Experience working with Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment
• Fluent in English (mandatory); French is a plus
