Your new role
As a Data Engineer focused on orchestration, you will play a key role in enhancing the performance and reliability of data platforms that support business-critical services. Working closely with architects, product owners, and data experts, you will contribute to the evolution of the orchestration layer, ensuring seamless integration, observability, and operational excellence across cloud-based environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain orchestration features using Airflow, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines.
- Build and deploy DAGs to support data lake and data mart operations (AWS and Snowflake).
- Provide second-level support and contribute to incident resolution and crisis management.
- Collaborate with internal teams (BI, Data Science, Business Projects) to promote best practices and platform adoption.
- Document processes, create tutorials, and lead knowledge transfer sessions for offshore support teams.
- Contribute to roadmap planning, sprint delivery (JIRA), and documentation (Confluence).
- Support DevOps initiatives and improve platform observability and performance monitoring.
What you'll need to succeed
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with strong exposure to AWS and Python, or 5+ years working directly with Airflow.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and tools like dbt.
- Experience with cloud-native data platforms, especially Snowflake.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes).
- Agile mindset with experience in Scrum or Kanban environments.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, autonomous approach to problem-solving.
- Bonus: Experience with Elasticsearch/Kibana and observability tools.
