Your new role
As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex and fragmented data into structured, reliable, and accessible information assets. Working closely with IT and digital transformation teams, you will design and optimize data solutions that empower business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting and transforming data from multiple sources;
Consolidate and integrate datasets to create a unified and reliable view of business performance;
Ensure high levels of data quality, consistency and integrity through validation and monitoring processes;
Prepare and structure datasets to support reporting, dashboards and analytical use cases;
Automate data workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention;
Support the evolution of data architecture to accommodate increasing data volumes and complexity;
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver data solutions aligned with business needs;
Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, ensuring reliability and adherence to service levels;
Contribute to data governance practices, documentation and lineage tracking.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or similar;
At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles;
Strong expertise in building and managing data pipelines, data integration and modeling;
Experience working with modern data architectures (Data Warehouse / Lakehouse environments);
Advanced SQL skills and programming experience with Python (including PySpark);
Experience with cloud-based data platforms, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g. Azure, Fabric, Data Factory);
Solid understanding of data governance, quality frameworks and monitoring practices;
Familiarity with dimensional modeling techniques (e.g. star schema, slowly changing dimensions);
Experience with orchestration, scheduling, and workflow management tools;
Knowledge of tools such as Power BI and data visualization support is advantageous;
Experience with SAP or legacy data environments is a plus;
Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
