We are looking for a Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer who is willing to relocate to join our Client's team in Mons, Belgium.

Eligibility:

• Candidate must have resided in Portugal for at least the past 5 years.
• Portuguese citizenship is mandatory.
• A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree is required.
• Candidate must be prepared to obtain EU security clearance upon accepting the job offer (with Hexa coordination).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site support for the design, installation, optimization, and documentation of NATO's data center infrastructure, following Agile delivery in sprints.
• Design and optimize the physical layout of data center infrastructure.
• Install servers, network devices, racks, and power units.
• Conduct equipment "rack and stack" operations and structured cabling.
• Assess, reorganize, and document existing cabling.
• Implement structured cabling and label all connections.
• Use Patch Manager Software to track and manage cable routes.
• Integrate new hardware with existing systems.
• Maintain accurate network and equipment documentation.
• Recommend improvements for energy efficiency and cooling systems.
• Train NATO staff on installation procedures, cabling best practices, and Patch Manager usage.
• Participate in sprint planning and review meetings.
• Submit written sprint completion reports.
• Support monthly updates and coordination sessions with NCIA.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure alignment with NATO operational and security requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Very good spoken and written English.
• Completed Bachelor or Master Degree.
• 4+ years in data center environments.
• Hands-on experience in fibre/copper cabling (Cat5e-Cat7), rack and stack operations, patch management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, ManageEngine), and network testing tools (e.g., Fluke).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP.
• Knowledge of power/cooling systems (UPS, PDUs, HVAC).
• Experience managing data center projects.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
• One of the following certifications: BICSI Technician, CNet CNCI, or equivalent cabling certification.
• Desirable qualifications: Fibre optic splicing experience, TIA/EIA data center standards, environmental monitoring knowledge, data center certifications (e.g., Uptime ATD, DCPro).
