  • DECSKILL TALENT, through which we provide our clients with an extension to their IT teams;


  • DECSKILL BOOST, through which we provide our client with software development models to increase capacity and optimize Time-to-Market, where we create and manage teams that deliver according to their needs, at the desired speed;


  • DECSKILL CONNECT, through which we provide our client with consulting services, as well as the implementation and management of information technology infrastructures.

We are looking for an Data Architect!


Responsabilities:

  • Ensure consistency in data governance policies and practices across all business platforms to maintain a unified and standardized approach and an alignment with regulatory requirements;
  • Implement the technical data stewardship, ensuring a holistic data scanning and data lineage from the main operational and analytics applications;
  • Implement global initiatives to improve overall data quality, with a focus on common challenges faced by multiple business platforms;
  • Working closely with representatives from each business unit to understand their specific data governance needs and challenges;
  • Build with business data owners, the business glossary and the mapping with data assets to achieve a curated data catalogue;
  • Provide centralized training programs and communication strategies to ensure that data governance best practices are understood and followed consistently across all business platforms;
  • Implement monitoring mechanisms to track data quality, consistency, and adherence to policies across the organization.
  • Model business requirements - data aspect - in a normalized, denormalized, star or other standard data model according to the objectives.
  • Model business requirements in a data model other than tabular: columnar, graph, geographic, time series, document.
  • Model business requirements including data streams, integrations (schema API, CRUD API)
  • Design and apply reference data architectures according to the requirements of the data management strategy
  • Design and apply a blueprint for an organizational data framework that defines how data is obtained, stored, consumed, integrated and managed in order to enrich the company's DataLakes, MDUs and Datamarts.
  • Define indicators inherent to the observability of DataOps organized into 3 aspects:

o Data pipeline operational health (duration, delay, retires, duration between subsquent runs)

o Dataset health (availability, freshess, volume, data schema change)

o Data health (profiling within the "expectation envelope", outlier and anomaly detection, data drift and business rule enforcement).

  • Ensuring technical functionalities (e.g. scalability, security, performance, data recovery, reliability, etc.).


Requirements:

  • Up to 10 years of experience in the role for the service to be contracted.
  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and with global teams.
  • Critical analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology, JIRA tool and Confluence (valued).
  • Commitment to quality deliveries.
  • Knowledge of languages (written and oral): English (required), Portuguese (valued), Spanish (valued).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of databases and analytical technologies, including datalake/lakehouse architectures and NoSQL storage.
  • Experience in Cloud Platforms (one or more: AWS, Google, Azure).
  • Knowledge of data governance and data security practices.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning, algorithms and statistical models (such as classification, time series analysis, regression, ).
  • Experience in metadata management, data catalogs, data standards and master data management best practices.
  • Experience in BigData databases (one or more: BigQuery, Azure Synapse, AWS RedShift, Cassandra, Couchbase, HDFS).
