Adecco is recruiting a Controller for a Management Control role for a higher education institution in business and economics with an international student population. The position provides administrative and operational support to strategic education initiatives, ensuring effective project coordination, structured follow-up, and timely execution of activities. The role supports Project-Based Learning initiatives, partner engagement, funded projects, and impact reporting, while working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, operational consistency, and continuous process improvement.

What You Will Do?
Provide administrative and operational support to strategic education initiatives within the Teaching Excellence & Innovation Center (TEIC), ensuring effective project coordination, structured follow-up, and timely execution of defined activities.
Support Centers and Institutes in the planning phase by preparing and validating project budgets and contracts, ensuring correct application and interpretation of fiscal and parafiscal regulations, particularly regarding VAT and social security contributions (TSU).
Monitor project execution by ensuring rigorous financial tracking of project activities and budget execution throughout the entire project lifecycle, maintaining accuracy and compliance at all times.
Support project closure by ensuring that all financial flows are fully settled, accurately recorded, and fully compliant, with proper reflection in the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement.
Act as the primary point of contact and facilitator between the Knowledge Centers/Institutes and the broader University structure, promoting effective communication and operational alignment across stakeholders.
Support coordination with the Human Resources Department regarding the recruitment and allocation of project teams, ensuring that human resources are aligned with project requirements and institutional procedures.
Support coordination with the Legal Services Department to ensure contractual compliance and address legal matters related to project activities, especially in the context of funded projects and partner engagement.
Proactively identify and resolve operational constraints affecting projects, guiding researchers and project managers in problem-solving and directing them to the appropriate procedures and institutional processes.
Process and analyze financial information related to the Knowledge Centers and Institutes, producing clear, structured, and user-friendly financial reports to support ongoing monitoring and analysis.
Design, monitor, and maintain reliable performance indicators (KPIs) to support the Universitys management in strategic and operational decision-making, ensuring data reliability and operational consistency.
Your Skills
Higher education degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for project financial control and reporting responsibilities.
Relevant professional experience aligned with the Controller role, with preference given to candidates with prior experience in Audit or Consulting, particularly in contexts involving project-based financial management.
High level of autonomy and proficiency in reading, interpreting, and analyzing financial statements, with particular focus on the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement as core management tools.
Solid knowledge of taxation applicable to project management, including VAT frameworks and the application of social security contributions (TSU), ensuring correct treatment of fiscal and parafiscal obligations.
Mandatory proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, including advanced handling of financial data, analysis, and reporting functionalities for project monitoring.
Preferred hands-on experience with Business Intelligence and reporting tools, particularly Power BI, to support the development of dashboards, performance indicators, and decision-support reports.
Excellent teamwork skills and strong ability to collaborate across functions and departments, which is mandatory for effective interaction with Knowledge Centers, Institutes, and central services.
High level of proactivity and autonomy, combined with a strong focus on continuous problem-solving in order to address operational constraints and support project teams effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging effectively with a wide range of profiles, including researchers, legal professionals, and human resources specialists.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear and actionable insights that support informed decision-making by management.
