Continuous Improvement Project Manager


Sodexo has a Global Business Service (GBS) Strategy mostly centralized in 3 Shared Service Centers (SSC) based in Porto, Mumbai e Bogota. Porto SSC has a Continuous Improvement activity running since 2021, focusing at improvement & harmonization effort on Finance's SSC. In 10/2023 the Global Projects area in CI team was initiated, with the purpose of serving a broader perimeter of GBS strategy, on a End-to-End approach. The role will support the growth and consolidation of the Global Project team.


Key Responsibilities:

Drive project management activities such as:

  • Task Coordination and Resource Allocation: Assigning tasks and efficiently allocating resources.
  • Problem solving: Using continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, to promote investigations that can support root-cause analysis, solution design and definition of implementation's action plan.
  • Data analysis: select, produce and present relevant qualitative information to support root cause analysis.
  • Progress Monitoring: Tracking project progress against the plan and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Informing and managing stakeholder expectations and motivation.
  • Communication: Facilitating clear communication among team members and stakeholders with multidisciplinary skills and different cultural backgrounds.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keeping thorough documentation and providing status reports.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Any other equivalent supporting action that may concur to the develop of timely and meaningful projects.

Support Continuous Improvement Department Strategy in activities such as:

  • Department communication,
  • Project's scoping exercises,
  • Innovation and organizational culture development, like development of new frameworks and facilitation of knowledge transference between team members/departments.


What You Need to Succeed:

  • Master degree in an area of business administration, engineering or project management.
  • 3- 5 years experience in similar functions (project management and continuous improvement teams) - Knowledge of Lean principles/tools as VSM, value vs waste, visual management, standard work, PDCA, SIPOC, one-piece flow, pull, 5S, etc. (Green/Yellow/Black Belt is a plus).
  • Ability to do data analysis, and reporting and KPls preparation.
  • Digital tech savvy' profile with experience in some of the following tools: Basic user of Power Queries, VBA, Power BI, Sharepoint, Power automate, SmartSheet.
  • Experience in the development of projects with multi-national and high level stakeholders. - Exceptional presentation skills and capabilities to address different levels of the organization.
  • Experience in quickly adapt to new environments, learn new process, and establish connections between them, allowing to connect the organizational and processes web to business outcomes with a critical eye.
  • Available to travel occasionally to lead meetings and workshops in other countries
  • Experience in services sector is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge on Finance area and Shared Service Centers environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge in SAP ECC & S/4 Hana architecture is a plus
