International company specializing in providing maintenance services and trading in the heavy vehicle industry.

Your new role

• Offer strategic financial guidance to ensure the company's financial strength and operational efficiency.
• Manage funding sources and maintain ongoing relationships with banks, lawyers, and local advisors.
• Support decision-making by deriving insights and strategic financial analyses.
• Responsible for overall accounting management, bookkeeping, fixed assets, payments to suppliers, and customer collections.
• Develop and oversee financial strategies, including budgets, forecasts, and investment plans. Add monthly profit and loss reports, and manage cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with local legal standards in Portugal, monitor new regulations and their implementation, and prepare statutory financial reports. Work with auditors and report to senior management in Israel according to a set reporting standard.
• Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities, including internal risk management such as controls and internal analyses to maintain company profitability.
• Knowledge in payroll and legal requirements, including reporting to local institutions such as social security, tax authorities, insurance companies, or other bodies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience of at least 5 years as a CFO or similar senior managerial role in finance, preferably in the heavy vehicle or related industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of corporate financial law and risk management practices, especially in an international context.
• Expertise in data analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; MSc/MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA/CPA) highly valued.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Demonstrated ability in management and taking responsibility for significant financial decisions.
