Your Purpose



Reporting to the Head of Retail the Category Manager will support in leading the Category to increase commercial opportunities through the effective management of vendors, assortments, activations and promotions to maximise sales and profits. This is an exciting on-site opportunity and requires the successful candidate to relocate to Geneva, Switzerland.



Your Impact



* Develop and execute strategic vision for areas of responsibility consistently evolving tactics based on emerging trends and market updatesTotal margin & mix management

* Margin and Mix Budgets

* Key Vendor Management (including Set Up, Bid Management and SKU creation)

* Range & Assortment Maintenance and Review

* Promotional Calendar creation & analysis

* Retail Pricing - local and competitive and communication to marketing and on-board teams

* Contract Review

* Buying Team Management & Review

* Space Management (Macro - floorplans)

* Reviewing RTMs to optimise stock availability, lead times and MSC costs

* Seasonal Planning and communication

* First ship set-up and minimum displayed quantities (MDQ)

* Updating and maintaining staff incentives

* Price discrepancy management with vendors



Your Journey so far



* Minimum 5 years of retail buying and/or category management experience. Preferably Travel Retail or Cruise Retail.

* University Degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain, or Procurement

* Extensive previous experience in the management of at least 2 of the listed specific categories

* Experience and success in B2B negotiation skills

* Trade Marketing experience desired but not necessary



Your Essentials



* Fluent in English. Any additional language is a plus

* Excellent knowledge of Excel and most common Business Intelligence packages

* Problem solving, strategic and analytical thinking

* Strong inter-personal and communication skills

* Customer focused

* EU Passport or right to work in Switzerland
