Backend Engineer (Node.js)

This role is all about building robust and scalable backend systems that power critical manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless integration between systems and high-performance server-side solutions.

Right now, we are looking for a Backend Engineer to join an exciting project in Lisbon.

Your role

• Design, develop and maintain backend solutions for industrial platforms
• Build scalable and reliable server-side applications
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and system integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Ensure performance, scalability and system reliability
• Contribute across the full SDLC (analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance)
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents in production environments

What we are looking for

Technical profile:

• Experience in backend development, particularly with Node.js
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience developing APIs and integrating systems
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software design principles
• Experience with version control tools (Git)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. Microsoft Azure) is a plus
• Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g. Docker) is valued
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus

• Salary Package & Benefits: €1,200 to €2,100 (base salary) + Food Allowance + Flex Benefits
