Your new company
You will be joining a global organization operating in the industrial and technology-driven services sector, supporting business-critical platforms across the EMEA region. The company is currently undergoing a significant cloud transformation journey, modernizing its infrastructure and application landscape with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, DevOps practices, and platform scalability.

Your new role
As a Senior Azure Cloud & DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and operating the Azure platform while driving its evolution towards modern, scalable cloud-native architectures.

• Cloud Infrastructure & Operations: Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage, AVD), ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Platform Evolution: Lead the migration from VM-based architecture to Azure App Services (PaaS), improving scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
• DevOps & Automation: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, automating build, deployment, and release processes.
• Application Support: Support and optimize .NET application environments across the platform.
• Database Management: Monitor and optimize SQL Server performance, ensuring robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Monitoring & Performance: Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure system reliability.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team, promoting best practices and operational excellence.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in automation, reliability, and platform efficiency.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, storage) 
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines 
• Experience supporting .NET application environments
• Solid SQL Server knowledge (intermediate DBA level)
• Experience with monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in production environments 
• Scripting skills (PowerShell or Bash) 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to balance operational responsibilities with transformation initiatives

Nice to have:

• Azure App Services (PaaS) 
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or ARM) 
• Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS) 
• Azure SQL (PaaS) 
• Experience in international or multi-region environments
