DevOps Engineer Lens Solutions

We're now looking for a DevOps Engineer Lens Solutions, to join us in Lisbon, Portugal.

Your Role

The team of Lens Design Solutions (LDS) and Ophthalmic Lens Solutions (OLS) develops and implements new optical lens products for our ophthalmic lens business of Carl Zeiss Vision Care. These products, including optical design, material selection etc., are developed and calculated using an in-house software made for purpose. The software is closely bind to the production of individual and stock ophthalmic lenses and builds the basis for the innovation of ophthalmic lenses. Therefore, the teams of LDS and OLS are an integral part of the Lens Product Development within Technology and Innovation and works in close collaboration with other departments like Product Management, Quality department and VIS IT.

The DevOps Engineer Lens Solutions will guarantee the deployment, release management, security by design of the built process using Azure DevOps as well as the development and implementation of the in-house software according to the requirements and the timeline of our product development process. Furthermore, the position holder is responsible to further improve the interfaces, and the built processes based on modern software technologies and up-to-date IT security standards. This will facilitate ZEISS' innovation power for new lens design for the future.

Your Experience

As a DevOps Engineer you will have:

• Master's degree in a technical/scientific degree program (such as informatics, computer science, computer engineering or comparable)
• 5 years of experience in DevOps
• 3 years of experience with Azure DevOps (ideally both cloud and on-prem)
• Experience in source code management with Git or other tools
• Comprehensive understanding of production critical IT systems, software and infrastructure
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, Software and Infrastructure

Bonus points if you have:

• Certificates in Azure such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or similar
