The Role

As Assistant Waiter / Waitress at Grace La Margna, you will be an integral part of delivering our philosophy of reinterpreting luxury through cosmopolitan lightness, cultural depth, and personal relevance. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Guest Service Excellence: Provide attentive, courteous, and professional service to guests in our restaurants, bar, and function areas, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to 'service from the heart'
• Table Management: Assist in setting, clearing, and maintaining tables to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation; support senior waitstaff in table turnover and guest flow management
• Beverage Service: Deliver beverages accurately and promptly, assist with wine and cocktail service, and support bartenders and senior waitstaff during service periods
• Order Taking & Processing: Support the taking of orders, ensure accuracy, and communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams to guarantee timely delivery of food and beverages
• Menu Knowledge: Develop comprehensive knowledge of our restaurant menus, wine selections, and special offerings to provide informed recommendations and answer guest inquiries
• Attention to Detail: Maintain impeccable standards of service, presentation, and hygiene; anticipate guest needs and respond proactively to requests
• Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with restaurant managers, senior waitstaff, kitchen team, and other departments to create seamless guest experiences
• Cultural Engagement: Embrace our commitment to St. Moritz's artistic and cultural heritage; assist in creating inspiring experiences that connect guests to local culture and contemporary elegance
• Problem Resolution: Handle guest concerns with grace and professionalism, escalating issues appropriately while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Operational Tasks: Assist with restocking supplies, maintaining service stations, and supporting restaurant setup and closing procedures

About You

The ideal Assistant Waiter / Waitress will demonstrate:

• Genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Professional demeanor, impeccable grooming, and polished presentation aligned with luxury hotel standards
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (German, Italian, French) are highly valued
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and eagerness to learn from experienced team members
• Understanding of service standards and restaurant operations
• Physical capability to perform duties including standing for extended periods, carrying trays, and moving throughout the restaurant
• Team player mentality with a collaborative spirit and willingness to support colleagues
