We are now looking for a Senior Technical Architect willing to accept new challenges in our Closer team.

Location: Lisbon (Hybrid) Level: Senior Consultant

About the Role:

As a Senior Technical Architect at SW Factory, you will play a key role in leading software engineering projects, ensuring robust application architecture, and guiding technical teams.

We are looking for someone with deep expertise in Software Engineering & Application Architecture, who stays updated with market trends and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee application architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
• Lead technical teams in development projects, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Work across multiple layers of the stack: Frontend (Angular, HTML5, CSS), Backend (Java, Spring Boot, Python), Databases (Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL), DevOps (Azure, Docker), and Security (OAuth 2.0, OpenID).
• Ensure integration between different components (APIs, microservices, event-driven systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Drive SDLC & DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring).
• Provide technical guidance and mentor developers.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong background in Software Engineering & Application Architecture

Frontend: Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript

Backend: Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate), Python, PL/SQL

Databases: Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch

DevOps & Cloud: Azure (Boards, Repos, Pipelines), Docker, CI/CD

Security: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect

Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, and ability to mentor teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Liferay, WordPress, Power BI, Grafana
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Work Model: Hybrid (Lisbon-based, other locations considered exceptionally).
