We are hiring an Application Support Engineer (L2/L3) to join a multidisciplinary technology team supporting critical banking applications, ensuring service reliability, performance and continuous improvement.
What You Will Be Doing
- Diagnose and resolve technical and functional issues at L2/L3 level, ensuring rapid service restoration and root-cause analysis
- Oversee day-to-day execution of management chains including batch processing, data transfers and workflow monitoring
- Orchestrate and manage software releases and hardware infrastructure updates with minimal business disruption
- Implement and supervise monitoring tools including Dynatrace and Prometheus/Grafana to analyse load, performance and functional health
- Develop scripts in Python/Bash and use Ansible to automate repetitive tasks, log parsing and health checks
- Create and maintain application documentation, runbooks and operating procedures
- Analyse application performance and user feedback to propose and implement functional or technical upgrades
What We Are Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux including RHEL 7/8, SLES and Ubuntu, covering system administration, kernel parameters and performance tuning
- Proficiency in SQL with ability to optimise queries, analyse execution plans and perform basic DBA tasks
- Professional experience with Python, Bash or Shell Scripting for automation
- Strong knowledge of Ansible including playbook authoring and CI/CD integration
- Familiarity with Cloud environments, Docker and Kubernetes including basic pod debugging and log aggregation
- Proficient use of Dynatrace or other monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Zabbix
- Solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes and experience with ServiceNow or JIRA
- Proficient English, written and spoken
