We are seeking an experienced API Management Platform Expert to join a team of IT professionals supporting a leading partner in the insurance sector. The role involves working in an international environment, delivering and maintaining mission-critical solutions for API platform operations.
This position is part of a team managing software delivery and support activities for the API Management product operations group, supporting cross-entity business solutions across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operations support and platform maintenance.
- Handle incident, problem, and change management activities.
- Perform SSL configuration and certificate lifecycle management.
- Conduct system capacity planning and proactive monitoring.
- Administer system patches in compliance with internal standards.
- Review system logs and address performance or reliability concerns.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
- Contribute to design, build, testing, and deployment phases.
- Deliver complete and timely documentation.
- Support and manage test phases, including defect resolution processes.
Technical Skills
Must Have:
- 3-7 years' experience with MuleSoft platform management.
- Experience with MuleSoft FlexGateway.
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint API Community Manager (ACM).
- Proficiency in API security standards (OAuth, OpenID) and access control mechanisms.
- Docker and OpenShift environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems (Red Hat), scripting, and system administration.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, ArgoCD, TEKTON / Kino.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with XML, XSD, WSDL, WS- protocols.
- Java, JSON, and JVM tuning experience (JMX).
- Understanding of basic network concepts (firewalls, Load Balancer, Virtual IPs).
- Security lifecycle management for digital certificates.
- User-level experience with SOAPUI, Postman.
- Experience with GitHub and version control tools.
Soft Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in a multinational environment.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to explain technical details clearly and adapt to different audiences.
- Proactive problem-solving and influencing abilities.
- Capable of working both independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to support offshore Tier-3 teams when needed.
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours.
Language Skills
- English: Proficient (C1 level - CEFR)
- French and/or Portuguese: Independent user - an advantage
Additional Information
- Occasional short-term international travel may be required.
- Hybrid work policy: minimum of 2 days per week onsite.
