Accounting and Tax Manager - Certified Accountant.

Description

Company accounting certification :

• Delivery of periodic tax returns (VAT);
• Submission of annual tax returns (Modelo 22, Modelo 54, Modelo 10 and IES);
• Response to statistical enquiries from INE and GEP;
• Validation of supplier invoices in AFI;
• Calculation of accruals and deferrals in the accounts (holidays and holiday bonuses, Christmas bonuses, commissions receivable, deferred income, deferred costs, accrued costs, provision for guarantees for the sale of used semi-trailers, workshop parts and repairs);
• Posting investments in SAP and calculating the respective depreciations;
• Annual completion of the "Relatório Único";
• Monthly payroll review ;
• Annual allocation of cost accounting by business unit;
• Preparation of reports and financial statements in accordance with legal and Company requirements (IFRS);
• Quarterly completion of the eco-tax declaration;
• Reviewing the work of the accounting team;
• Work in group chart of accounts and documents in different languages than Portuguese;

Responsible for configuring the SAP R/3 system for accounting in Portugal:

• Updating the system with tax news and updates;

Controlling activities:

• Monthly preparation of the group report;
• Analysing investments;
• Preparing budgets and analyzing deviations;
• Analyzing the gross margin of the business areas;

Other activities:

• Participation in international group projects.
• Lead accounting team in the new Shared Service Center.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Management, Accounting, or related field;
• At least 5 years of experience as a senior-level Accountant, Controller or Finance Manager;
• Knowledge of IFSR and GAAP standard will be plus;
• Good communication skills;
• Multitasking profile;
• Understanding of other working cultures;
• Certified accountant with IFRS knowledge;
• Mastery of Microsoft tools, with a focus on Excel and PowerBI;
• Knowledge of SAP R/ 3 (mandatory);
• Experience with Shared Service Centers will be valued;
• Flexible profile;
• Fluent English (other languages recommended: German or other SWE region language).
