Build and evolve enterprise applications on Azure for a leading international bank, working within the worlds largest IT services and consulting company on a long-term programme in financial services.

We are hiring an Azure DevOps & .NET Engineer to join an international team working across development, DevOps, security and data engineering. The role combines .NET development, Azure cloud services and data-intensive pipelines, with a strong focus on modernisation, security and platform governance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, develop, maintain and support enterprise applications using .NET and Azure cloud services
• Develop solutions using Azure Functions, Durable Functions and SQL Server
• Design and implement scalable REST APIs and integration services
• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
• Modernise and refactor applications towards cloud-native and data-intensive architectures
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines and YAML
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise application performance, reliability and security
• Implement security, compliance, identity management and platform governance controls
• Contribute to architecture discussions, technical improvements and continuous innovation initiatives

What We Are Looking For

• 7 years of experience in .NET development, Azure cloud, DevOps, platform engineering or similar roles
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core / .NET 6, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs and Entity Framework
• Solid experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions and Durable Functions, Key Vault, Entra ID and Azure networking fundamentals (VNets, Private Endpoints, NSGs, DNS)
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including Azure Pipelines, YAML, Azure CLI, CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code with Bicep
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and experience building data-intensive applications
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and data ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Experience integrating enterprise data sources, including SAP-originated datasets
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design and design patterns
• Experience modernising legacy applications towards cloud-native architectures
• Good understanding of identity and access management, OAuth, Azure App Registrations, security and compliance controls
• Experience working in Agile environments and international teams
• Strong communication skills, ownership mindset and ability to collaborate across teams
• Fluent English, written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Azure certifications such as AZ-204, AZ-400, DP-203 or AZ-305
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake and modern Azure data platform concepts
• Experience in banking, risk or financial services environments
• Unit testing, TDD and mocking frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud governance, compliance frameworks and secure-by-design principles
