Your New Role

As the IT Product Owner for Global Operations (GO) – Procurement, you will be a pivotal figure in bridging the gap between IT and Procurement, shaping the future IT solution roadmap. You will serve as a reliable confidant and robust pillar of support to the senior leadership team of Procurement, aiding in the construction of the future process and IT landscape of Procurement. Your role will involve project management responsibilities, leading or co-leading IT and Business projects to ensure top-notch project execution. You will offer consultation to the business in process design and harmonize processes in line with business needs, data structure, and software features.

Responsibilities 

• Assume the role of project manager/lead, ensuring top-tier project setup and execution • Serve as a Process Consultant, aiding the BPO/BPE in workshops to design & model processes according to BPMN standard
• Identify, analyze, prioritize, and formulate business requirements and user stories for IT
• Assist the Product Owner in requirements engineering and defining user stories to gain a comprehensive view of business requirements
• Translate business requirements into IT language, ensuring adherence to GIT processes & standards
• Collaborate closely with Application management to discuss, define, and propel the solution design for Business requirements
• Guarantee end-to-end availability and quality of IT services
• Enhance business proximity by acting as the interface between business and IT
• Co-create the solution landscape and roadmap with GO functions, partnering with internal and external stakeholders and driving innovation. Build a trustful relationship with business colleagues of Global Operations.
• Establish and maintain a stage gate process to orchestrate the process from ideation to new IT Solutions, assisting GO in identifying the most beneficial ideas.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• A Master’s degree in (business) computer science, engineering, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT professional in complex, international IT enterprise organizations
• A strong background in processes and IT of a manufacturing company with detailed knowledge about procurement processes
• Demonstrated experience in project management of large, complex projects as well as in process management and the implementation of software and systems
• Solid knowledge of IT technologies such as SAP in specific modules like ARIBA, BI, SCM, IBP, or PP
• Advanced project and process management (BPMN) skills as well as proven change management ability
• Fluency in English and preferably one additional European language
• A sound understanding of ITIL
• A sound understanding of Processes with a minimum of 5 years of experience within the business domain
