Analysis Engineer Launchers Vehicle
Join this leading Swiss Space Technology Company making waves in the New Space sector! Operating in 6 countries, they are the international preferred supplier of structures for launch vehicles and a leader in satellite products. As the set up in the Portuguese market, they are seeking a dynamic Analysis Engineer.
Responsabilities
- Assumption of analysis responsibility in various projects;
- Perform concept studies in support to Systems Engineering;
- Support technical trade-off and solutions selection;
- Construct FE models to support analysis tasks;
- Create complete Free Body Diagrams for all analyses completed;
- Perform complete stress analyses metallic and composite structures using industry standard methods;
- Complete analyses for fasteners, lugs or other joints using industry standard methods;
- Creation of the technical documentation (Model Descriptions, Analysis Reports, Test Predictions, Test Reports, Correlation Reports);
- Coordinate with other analysis engineers assigned to the project;
- Provide summary of work completed to lead analyst for project;
- Support continuous improvement of internal analysis methods and tools;
- Perception of self-control in the context of inputs, especially when submitting work package outputs;
- Support of system engineering, manufacturing, testing and Product Assurance;
- Periodic travel to US sites and Switzerland.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or similiar;
- From 3 to more than 10 years of experience in Aerospace and/or Aeronautical companies (mandatory);
- Experience with analysis of payload fairing and other launcher structures and in test prediction and correlation of structures and components, static and dynamic;
- Advanced knowledge in FE analysis with the solver NASTRAN, Hyperworks and/or ABAQUS to efficiently create FE models and perform analysis;
- Advance knowledge in detailed stress analysis, mechanical lay-out of aerospace structures and components and analysis of composites and composite structures;
- Advanced English (required) and other languages will be an advantage (German, French, Swedish);
- Good communication, cooperation and organization skills, willingness to take responsibility;
- Pro-active team player.
