At Skillup, we're building a digital learning platform to support the evolution of education in Portugal. To help shape how people understand, navigate, and interact with our product, we're looking for a bilingual Copywriter / UX Writer who's fluent in both Portuguese (Portugal) and English (US).
You'll work embedded in product squads, helping create clear, inclusive, and consistent experiences - from interface microcopy to naming, onboarding, feedback messages, and more.
What you'll do
Write and edit product copy for our digital learning platform in both Portuguese (PT-PT) and English (EN-US).
Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Owners, Engineers and Researchers to craft copy that is aligned with UX goals, tone of voice, and accessibility best practices.
Support flows such as onboarding, navigation, error handling, call-to-actions, tooltips, modals, buttons, settings, notifications, and more.
Contribute to and help maintain our voice & tone guidelines, ensuring consistency across all product touchpoints.
Participate in usability testing and help interpret user feedback related to content and comprehension.
Balance empathy, clarity, and precision - always writing with the user in mind.
What we're looking for
Fluency (written and spoken) in both Portuguese (Portugal) and English (US) - non-negotiable.
Solid experience as a UX Writer, Product Copywriter, or Content Designer in digital products.
Strong understanding of user-centered design, accessibility, and how language impacts the user experience.
Experience working in cross-functional product teams (with designers, devs, PMs).
Familiarity with localization practices and writing for international audiences.
Comfort using tools like Figma, Confluence, and working inside design/delivery pipelines.
Residence in Portugal or legal right to live and work in Portugal (required).
