Join Our Clients Team as a Transport Manager!

Are you a logistics expert with a passion for optimizing transportation and driving efficiency? We are looking for a Transport Manager to oversee and streamline the global logistics operations. If you have the skills and experience, we want to hear from you!

 

Main Purpose You will ensure the efficient and effective transportation of goods by air, sea, and road freight. Your goal is to optimize costs and service standards to support the business and customer expectations. You will collaborate with internal and third-party partners to monitor shipping costs and delivery performance, using timely data to analyze and report.

Key Accountabilities

• Act as the global point of contact for daily transportation operations.
• Implement and optimize SOPs to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Map, simplify, and automate processes for improved performance.
• Maintain constructive relationships with logistics providers.
• Report key performance indicators like on-time delivery and rate compliance.
• Analyze and develop opportunities to optimize transportation.
• Review carrier performance data and escalate issues as needed.
• Schedule and coordinate quarterly business reviews with key vendors.
• Validate, approve, and track logistics vendor invoices and costs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to streamline processes.
• Stay market aware to ensure rate optimization and assist in budget management.
• Drive systems-led productivity improvements for sustainable results.

 

Knowledge and Experience

• Degree or professional qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field;
• 5 years experience in operational Supply Chain or Logistics;
• Lean Methodology qualification (belt) is a plus;
• Excellent knowledge of global air, sea, and road freight operations;
• Proven experience in multinational end-to-end Supply Chain/Operations;
• Strong communication skills;
• Knowledge of lean process mapping and improvements;
• Proficiency with ERP systems like MRP/SAP/Oracle;
• Knowledge of data analytics and reporting.
