Quadrante is looking to strengthen its Transport Infrastructures Business Unit by recruiting a Trainee Civil Engineer for the Geotechnics department, based at our Oporto office.

With both national and international projects of varying scales and typologies, Quadrante offers a unique professional experience in the Portuguese engineering market.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of geotechnical projects;
• Ensure compliance with project deadlines;
• Perform and validate advanced geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, immediate and time-dependent settlements and soil-structure interaction, using specialized software (like Plaxis 2D/3D), ensuring the quality of analytical models;
• Ensure project compliance with national and international regulations, as well as sector-specific requirements;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design optimized solutions;
• Support the preparation of geotechnical reports, technical specifications and bill of quantities, ensuring technical rigour and consistency.

Profile:

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Excel is required. Exposure to FEM software (like PLAXIS) or structural analysis tools is a plus;
• Ability to adapt and work effectively in a team, combined with a strong sense of responsibility and autonomy;
• Focus on technical excellence, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
