We are expanding our team in Portugal and looking for a passionate and skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join us in Oporto and be part of our growing success story.
Your Mission
As a Technical Sales Engineer, your primary goal will be to drive business growth by identifying customer needs and offering tailored technical solutions. You'll combine your engineering expertise with commercial acumen to represent our industrial instrumentation lines for Test & Measurement, Power Supplies, and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across Oporto, North Portugal, and Galicia.
- Build strong, long-lasting client relationships with technical buyers and engineers.
- Execute account and territory plans to meet and exceed revenue goals.
Technical Consulting
- Act as a trusted advisor, delivering pre-sales technical guidance and product selection support.
- Perform product demonstrations and technical training for clients.
- Participate in industry events, trade fairs, and conferences to represent Distron's solutions.
Proposal & Support
- Prepare professional quotations and technical proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Address technical objections, questions, and concerns throughout the sales cycle.
- Coordinate with internal support and supplier teams to ensure client satisfaction post-sale.
Your Profile
- Minimum 2-3 years in a technical sales, field application engineer, or pre-sales engineering role.
- Technical Knowledge
- Background in electrical engineering, electronics, industrial automation, or related fields.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and solution schematics.
Sales Skills
- Goal-oriented with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Skilled in solution selling, value proposition articulation, and closing deals.
Languages
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
- Spanish is a strong advantage due to collaboration with the Spanish team and Galician clients.
Other Requirements
- Availability for frequent travel (approx. 70%) within the assigned region.
- Valid driver's license.
