We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Specialist to join a growing SSC in Porto. The ideal candidate will be responsible for: 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Completing and submitting tax reports and VAT returns.
• Preparing Corporate Income Tax paperwork.
• Recommending tax strategies.
• Interacting with stakeholders for tax returns.
• Identifying efficiency improvements.
• Supporting ad-hoc requests and audits.
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Preparing financial statements and tax declarations.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Documenting work procedures.
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and account reviews.
• Handling queries and coordinating projects.
• Acting as a backup for team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or similar.
• Knowledge of IFRS and European GAAPs.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office.
• Strong teamwork, analytical, and communication skills.
• 3+ years of experience in GL and tax-related roles.
• Experience in a Shared Services Centre environment preferred.
