Adecco Recruitment is hiring a Supply Chain Manager for a leading company in the production of luxury goods, based in Porto.
This role will play a strategic and hands-on part in optimizing and managing the entire supply chain. If you have experience in supply chain, enjoy working in demanding environments, and value a lead by example approach, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Key Responsabilities
- Supply Chain Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and align with quality and ethical standards.
- Vendor Management & Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers; maintain strong relationships; negotiate contracts and terms; conduct performance reviews.
- Inventory Management
- Plan, forecast, and control raw material and finished goods inventory to meet production and sales needs, minimizing waste and avoiding disruptions.
- Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, customs, and insurance, ensuring timely and secure delivery in coordination with internal teams.
- Ethical Sourcing & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and certifications, maintain traceability and documentation of all materials.
- Monitor supply chain performance using analytics and prepare regular reports to support data-driven decisions.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Management and Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree preferred;
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, experience;
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities;
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced Excel;
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail;
- Ability to work strategically and operationally in a fast-paced, high-value environment;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures for high value items;
- Fluency in English (mandatory);
- German and Italian will be considered a plus.
