The Role: Splunk Expert

Location: Lisbon

Work Model: hybrid - 2/3 days a week in the office

Sector: Financial Services

? Languages: English (C1)

Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there

Profile:

• Senior / expert in Splunk Enterprise & Splunk ITSI
• Proactive, solution oriented, and improvement driven
• Ability to design, structure, and optimize a monitoring platform end to end
• Strong experience building complex Splunk dashboards and metrics
• Knowledge of data ingestion and observability tools such as Cribl and OpenTelemetry
• Demonstrated experience leading or driving Splunk implementations

Nice to Have:

• Experience with complementary monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, SolarWinds)
• Strong automation mindset and scripting experience
• Comfort operating in complex, multi team, enterprise environments

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the architecture and build of a new enterprise Splunk platform
• Support and guide teams during the migration to Splunk Enterprise and Splunk ITSI
• Design and implement advanced dashboards, KPIs, metrics, and ITSI service models
• Proactively propose and implement improvements at tool, process, automation, and KPI levels
• Automate operational tasks using tools such as Ansible
• Collaborate with infrastructure, monitoring, and development teams to structure Splunk usage globally
• Act as a subject matter expert on observability and monitoring best practices
