We are looking for a Spark Developer with strong Java experience.

Main tasks

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache Spark.
• Implement distributed data processing solutions with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Work with large data volumes (batch and/or streaming).
• Write efficient, well-structured code in Java.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and DevOps teams.
• Optimize Spark jobs (memory usage, parallelism, performance tuning).
• Ensure code quality, testing, and development best practices.
• Contribute to data architecture decisions.

Your Profile and Skills

• Solid experience with Apache Spark.
• Strong knowledge of Java.
• Experience processing large-scale data.
• Knowledge of SQL and databases (relational and/or NoSQL).
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Big Data ecosystem tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Kafka - a plus).
• Experience with Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP - a plus).
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Hybrid work model, with presence required in Lisbon office.
