The Role

As a Software Egineer (C++), you’ll be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining robust, multithreaded applications that run 24/7. These systems acquire and process meteorological data through both standard and custom protocols, exposing core functionality via RESTful services and Python APIs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining core components in C++
• Creating and extending APIs in Python for internal and external use
• Collaborating with team members on software architecture and design
• Integrating with web services and managing data acquisition pipelines
• Contributing to cross-platform development for Linux and Windows environments

O que necessita para ser bem sucedido

We’re looking for someone with 3–5 years of experience in software development who brings:

• Advanced proficiency in C++ (including STL, Boost, templates, multithreading, and exception handling)
• Experience working in collaborative development environments (corporate or open source)
• Strong command of English (C1 level or confident B2)
• A curious mindset and willingness to explore the unique domain of meteorological software

 

Additional strengths that would be advantageous:

• Python programming experience
• Familiarity with Qt for UI development
• Understanding of algorithmic efficiency and memory management
• Experience with web services and cloud platforms (especially AWS)
• Linux system administration skills
• Willingness to travel internationally
